NEC’s PAST HISTORICAL SCOPE OF SERVICES

Since 1983, Nuclear Energy Consultants Inc., (NEC) has provided a broad spectrum of technical services to nearly all commercial nuclear power plants in the United States, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Department of Energy (DOE), various nuclear engineering companies and nuclear law firms. Now, NEC is using this experience to promote and develop the next generation of advanced reactors. NEC now provides strategic planning, regulatory, engineering and quality assurance services for advanced reactors. This includes services for the design, licensing, design certification, early site permits and combined operating license applications for advanced reactors.

The scope of NEC's expertise and services includes the following:

-   Regulatory, licensing and compliance, including advanced reactors
-   Design, construction, startup, operation, maintenance and quality assurance
-   Procedures, programs and policy development and upgrade
-   Electrical, mechanical, nuclear, and chemical engineering.

NEC's engineering and professional engineering services may be provided at the client's site, client’s corporate offices, or in NEC's offices, as appropriate for each project.  NEC provides the organization and management support as necessary for the project. NEC also provides its services on a basis ranging from fixed price for defined deliverables to staff augmentation working directly for the client. NEC's services are cost effective because: NEC's staff is experienced in the management, technical and regulatory aspects of commercial nuclear power plants. NEC employs individuals who are technically qualified and experienced in the specific specialty areas eliminating the need for training at the clients' expense. NEC managers are experienced in resource allocation, cost control and analysis, and performance monitoring. Our managers recognize that the only acceptable level of performance is on time, within budget and of high quality.
